It is not an accident that you hold this in your hand. God wants you to have an authentic relationship with Him. What does an authentic relationship with God look like? Jesus probably said it best. “I have come that you might have life to the fullest.” You will find no perfect people here at Journey Church, no pretense, no plastic smiles, and no value placed on outdated traditions. You will find real people, with real problems, looking for real answers, from a real God. Please consider yourself our guest here at Journey Church.

Journey Church believes at its heart that life is a mystery to be explored and an adventure to be lived through Biblical faith. Jesus himself came to show people just like us how life is meant to be lived. As we become more like Him we discover the purpose for which God created us. And at that point, who knows where the journey may take us! We believe that it is Jesus Christ alone who makes our journeys meaningful and purposeful, and He alone gives us a destination worth journeying toward.

We believe how we operate is critical to the health of our relationships and the church. There are three key principles in which we continually strive to live by:

• Be Real: In faith and life being real means being honest, vulnerable, and authentic. No one is perfect, so we’re not going to pretend that we are. We encourage people to be real with God and one another.
• Be Relevant: We want to demonstrate in teaching and action that our faith is relevant to the Eva community and beyond. Being a Christ follower will impact every aspect of life… it’s not just a Sunday thing! We will communicate how Christianity and the activation of our faith effectively intersect with everyday life and culture.
• Be Relational: All of us desire friendship. We want people to be connected to one another within the church regardless of differences. It is part of the mission of Journey Church to ‘engage every member in ministry and fellowship’. We will seek to provide unconditional acceptance for anyone who seeks to become part of Journey.

We want you to be true to yourself in your process for seeking your place in God’s Kingdom. You matter to Him, and you matter to us. That’s why we’d be really glad to have you come and journey through life and faith with us. Whatever your background, whatever your beliefs, whatever your mistakes, doubts, failures or pain, you are welcome at Journey Church.
