John 11:21-22 Martha said, “Master, if you’d been here, my brother wouldn’t have died. Even now, I know that whatever you ask God he will give you.” 23 Jesus said, “Your brother will be raised up.” 24 Martha replied, “I know that he will be raised up in the resurrection at the end of time.” 25-26″You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?” (Message Bible)
Jesus’s question, “Do you believe this” still applies to us today. We should let these words sink into our souls, “You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life.” He is a right now God with a right now provision for us.
When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we are told in Romans 6 that we are in essence baptized into His death and raised into His life. Our act of Faith in believing join us together with His life in a profound way. When we receive Him and believe, our nature is changed. We become something new that is not apparent to the physical eye but is a powerful transformation in the spirit. We move from a “kingdom of darkness” to a “kingdom of light,” from the clutches of sin and Satan to the embrace of a loving Savior and Lord.
II Corinthians 5:17 Tells us that if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. The miracle of this story is that God made Christ who had no sin to be sin for us. Jesus took our place so that we could stand before God in Christ Jesus through His resurrection and His life.
